What Happened on Fall Temagami

What was supposed to be a normal canoe launch quickly changed when strong winds made it unsafe for our advisor group to paddle across Lake Temagami. Our canoes were transported to a closer location, and the group took a motorboat across the bad weather.
After arriving at our new starting point, the group unloaded the canoes and began paddling toward the first campsite. Tents were set up, meals were prepared, and students had time to enjoy the natural beauty of Temagami. Surrounded by forests and clear water, the campsite provided a chance to disconnect from technology and spend time outdoors.
The next morning, the group packed up camp and continued the journey to a second island campsite. Reaching the second campsite felt rewarding after a long day on the water.
At the second campsite, students once again worked together to set up tents and prepare for the night. The trip was not only about canoeing and camping, but also about building leadership skills and creating stronger connections within the advisor group.
Looking back, the Temagami trip was filled with challenges, memorable moments, and plenty of fun. From the unexpected motorboat ride to paddling between two island campsites. The trip showed the importance of adaptability, teamwork, and perseverance, making it a valuable experience for everyone involved.
